Today we- China Xinxing Guangzhou Imp&Exp Co., Ltd.  will introduce the types of bulletproof plates.

The bulletproof plate can be placed inside our bulletproof vest or tactical vest. To achieve a higher level of bulletproof performance.  Usually, bulletproof vests can only reach the bulletproof level of NIJ IIIA. Usually, bulletproof vests can only reach the bulletproof level of NIJ IIIA. Tactical vests are not even bulletproof. 

And the bulletproof plate can reach NIJ III and NIJ IV. Then our bulletproof plates is placed behind the interlayer of the bulletproof vest or tactical vest. It will increase the bulletproof level.

Now let me introduce several commonly used materials for bulletproof plates.

1. steel

Steel bulletproof panels have been in use since World War II and dominated the mainstream market for bulletproof inserts several decades ago.

This material is relatively heavy. Moreover, when the bullet hits the steel plate, the scattered fragments after the bullet shatters can easily cause secondary damage to the user. The advantage is that the price is very low.

But with the changing times. The emergence of other new materials has led to the gradual elimination of this material. But some countries still use it.

2. PE(Supramolecular polyethylene)

We mentioned this material in our previous blog post. He is the main material for making bulletproof vests and helmets. It is also a material for making bulletproof plates.

Generally, pure PE can be used to grade NIJ IIIA. 

NIJ III can also be made with pure PE. But the price will be more expensive than combining ceramics.  The advantage is that it is lighter than the material combined with PE and ceramics.

3. Combined with PE and ceramics.

This is the most commonly used material for bulletproof panels. Often used to make NIJ III and NIJ IV grade bulletproof plates.

Usually, ceramic materials include aluminum oxide and silicon carbide.  Both materials can meet bulletproof standards. And they are all combined with PE. Improving cost-effectiveness.

The price of alumina will be relatively cheap. Although silicon carbide is relatively expensive, its weight will be lighter.
